About Literacy Cottage
Literacy Cottage is the culmination of two defining experiences in my life as an educator: serving as a special education and dyslexia teacher, while witnessing the beauty of a classical education that cultivates both the intellect and the heart.​

At Literacy Cottage, research-informed instruction rooted in the Science of Reading is thoughtfully paired with a warm, literature-rich environment inspired by the classical tradition. Every lesson is thoughtfully planned using evidence-based practices, while every corner is intentionally designed to communicate peace, beauty, and belonging.
My hope is that each child feels seen, encouraged, and genuinely at home. I want Literacy Cottage to be a place where students experience the joy of meaningful progress, develop confidence in their abilities, and discover that reading opens the door to lifelong learning.
